Description
House Blend Dark Roast is harvested from the mountains of Chirripó, Costa Rica's highest peak. The extreme altitude provides the ideal growing conditions for our selection of arabica beans. Warm, sunny days and cool nights slow the maturation process, allowing the coffee beans to develop their full potential when the fruit reaches peak ripeness.
Tasting Notes: Light, nutty fragrance, caramel aroma, spicy chocolate flavor, medium body, balanced acidity.
- Origin: Chirripó
- Roast: Dark
- Varietal: Blend
- Process: Washed
Each bag of Café Milagro coffee has a net weight of 340-grams/12-ounces. Complimentary coffee scoop included with all first-time orders.

Spoiler alert: My favorite coffee on the planet
Let me precursor this by saying that I happened on the Milagro Cafe in the late 1990s when I visited my sister in Costa Rica. It was a cute boutique cafe in downtown San Jose with no mail order or way to sell outside of the country. The website was nascent and just had a holding page for online orders... Several years later the mechanism to order online was available. I must have been one of the first to use it. I have ordered varieties of Milagro ever since. Without hesitation, and after many years of ordering from them, this is still my favorite all around coffee as my first (and second) cup in the morning. I do not tout myself as an expert or barista but do have a bit of a selective taste. The dark roast may not be for everyone but It is the "go to" for me. I just like pure coffee, no flavors or enhancements (maybe a little raw sugar). I must say that I am partial to Central American varieties for their flavor notes. If you are reading this, I'd recommend indulging your curiosity. I venture to think there is a variety of coffee Milagro can offer for virtually any coffee lover.

Wonderful
I have been using Café Milagro Dark Roast Whole Beans for over 20 years. Originally I brought an extra suitcase down to Manuel Antonio when we visited Costa Rica so that I could haul back as much of the beans as we could transport. Thrilled when we were able to purchase the product on line and we do so several times each year. I love rich black coffee and drink many cups throughout the day and there's nothing better than beans from Café Milagro. Try them and you too will become a loyal customer.

Outstanding coffee beans that are consistently fresh and rich tasting. I've been drinking this coffee for over 10 years and never tire of it's robust flavor.

house blend dark roast whole bean
We had recommendations while in Costa Rica to try Milagro coffee. We were near their location in Manuel Antonio and decided to stop. The restaurant was very good and the coffee was great as well. I was very excited to see they shipped to the US and so I ordered some for home. We love the dark, rich blend and it reminds us of the country we've come to love. Can't wait to go back!!

Best Coffee
We visited CR and Cafe Milagro back in December of 2015. Since we came home, I've been ordering ever since. They never disappoint, delivery is always quick and I've sent several gift baskets for family. They are great.

Our coffee since 2005
We visited Quepos in 2005. Ate at the restraunt one evening and had this coffee for the first time. We have been buying and having it shipped to Auburn Ca. ever since. 10 bags per shipment lasts us about 4 months. Time to re-order. That's how good this coffee is.
