James and I LOVE our coffee each morning. There is never a morning that we do not appreciate it so very much. Thank you!

Walter P. W.

So looking forward to getting more coffee. We live in The Kingdom of Bahrain in the Middle East now...so will pick it up when I go to the states and bring it back here. Ah the joys of Costa Rica coffee in the desert!!

Cheri T.

Love Your Coffee! Our son works at Starbucks here in L.A. and always wants to trade bags with us!

Deborah Wheeler,Thousand Oaks, CA

Wishing I were there drinking your wonderful coffee and eating the yummy food in one of the restaurants! Summer has ended up here and the weather is turning colder each day. Having a cup or two of of Cafe Milagro coffee is a nice way to warm up in the mornings while dreaming of being back in Quepos!

L. Delzell Petaluma, CA

We love your coffee. Always consistent and smooth. Not overpowering.

P. Smith. Houston, TX

Thanks again for your wonderful coffee. Every time we run out and buy something local to us we are always disappointed! We look forward to trying the Finca Rosa Blanca coffee.

To drink a cup of Cafe Milagro is to be transported to the magnificent plantations of Costa Rica whose beans are rich without bitterness and whose roasting skills produce the ultimate cup of coffee.

Cafe Milagro... what can I say? Your coffee is incredible! I've sampled coffee from all over the world and I keep coming back to Cafe Milagro. Keep on rockin' and making that great java!

Best coffee on the planet. Why, you can almost smell the fresh breezes coming in off the muelle. You can see the mono titi chattering at Crazy Carol's. You can hear the thump of the disco from over the bridge. Cafe Milagro. Que buena nota!

We first were introduced to your coffe on our first trip to Costa Rica in 2006.....we have been ordering it eversince. By far the best coffee we have ever had!!

Cindy & Peter Cooper, Illinois

Each morning when I drink my cup of Café Milagro coffee I get delivered back to that small shop hidden in the jungle where squirrel monkeys play in the treetops and handpicked coffee beans are roasted and brewed. The rich aroma and delicious taste put all my thoughts at ease and make the rest of my day that much more enjoyable...

Nicholas L.

We never cease to enjoy it each day when we have our first sips! Thank you for making such a wonderful coffee for us!

James and Walter

Cafe Milagro continues to be the only coffee we drink. It's the best!

J. Natter, Seattle, WA

After all these years, Cafe Milagro Dark Roast is still the best coffee I have ever tasted. Thanks for the many, many cups of pure pleasure.

J. Halstead, Hightstown, NJ

Can't start the day without our Milagro. We're addicted to it ... and trying to addict others.

Cafe Milagro turns a snow storm at home into a day at the beach in Costa Rica.
Leonardo da Vinci wrote, "Where the spirit does not work with the hand there is no art." Cafe Milagro coffee in the morning enriches my spirit so that my hands can create art.  I have works of art throughout my house that I have created with the help of Milagro coffee.

Screaming. Pounding. High-pitched squeals. Pounding. Glass straining against the onslaught of little fists.
What the...?
I open my eyes, dragged from slumber...by a white faced mono pounding on the glass deck door.
His friends playing a vigorous game of mango toss on the corrugated tin roof, throwing sticks at the dogs.
Who are barking, losing their collective minds?
The pelicans fly overhead
the sunrise is beautiful and the day promises to be warm and gorgeous.
I almost go back to sleep, but then I smell it.
It's coffee. It's Cafe Milagro, brewed already and it's like heaven.
Nothing else could get me out of bed this early.
I pad downstairs, pour a cup and go out onto the deck to watch the daily morning circus.
On a happy scale of 1 to 10, I'm definitely an 11.

I submit a haiku:
Cafe Milagro
miracle beans, great coffee
the best you can buy

We visited Costa Rico in May of 2008. We hopped around so we could experience some of the things we had researched prior to our departure.
One thing I had read about was the coffee in Costa Rica. I had read a few reviews stating that if we were in the vicinity we definitely needed to come by and try some.
Oh my gosh I could smell the rich nutty aroma all the way up the hill towards our condo. As we got closer the aroma was overtaking ever sense we had. Our mouths were watering and the smell was very stimulating to the point of causing goose bumps. As we gazed over the menu looking for just the right beverage we came across the chocolate chip milk shake expresso which was vastly addictive. I had to have 2 every morning of our stay. We also took a bag of the dark roast to enjoy on our balcony before we headed to Cafe Milagro for breakfast and milkshakes every morning of our stay. When it was time to leave it was almost like leaving part of ourselves behind.
We had taken a small plan from Arenal to Manuel Antonio so we had a limited amount of space for extras. I only took a coupl eof bags home.
We did also bring home a coupl eof other VERY popular brands and we still have some of those left in the freezer. NO COMPARISON to the awesome Cafe Milagro. I can not stand to drink any coffee here now. We have to order a few bags of Cafe Milagro every few months. I have also turned several of my friends onto the Cafe Milagro so wneh we order they also ask for some. My last order I tired the Decaf and it was just as amazing as the dark roast. Now we enjoy Cafe Milagro throughout the day.
I already plan on returning to Costa Rico in the future with an empty suitcase so we can stuff it full to bring back to Missouri.
Thank you for taking care of our Cafe Milagro cravings.

Sincerely,

Cindy and Dan O.

Hmmm, well my first experience with the great taste of coffee from Costa Rica was while living in Florida, USA and friends of ours took several vacations. Their oldest son actually fell in love with a sweet girl from Costa Rica, which they ended up getting married and she moved back to Florida with her husband.  But that's got nothing to do with the best coffee I ever tasted.  Well, actually it does. You see, they introduced me to this most robust dark roasted delicious coffee I'd ever drink.
Then about 8 years later, after having moved from Florida, USA to Virginia USA some new friends also took a trip to Costa Rica. I asked them to PLEASE bring me back a bag of that awesome coffee.  They did.  I was in heaven.  I happened to write to Cafe Milagro from the package and started ordering directly. WOW!  Why didn't I do this 8 years ago?  So much time I lost not being able to drink the most heavenly coffee in the world.  But now I can, and so can you!

Thomas V., Virginia, USA

Bweeeep! Bweeeeep! Bweeeeeep! Goes the alarm.  The shrill sound is a cruel reminder that there will be no early morning tropical bird cacophony waking you today.  You're not in Quepos anymore, Dorothy.
Wap!  Yes, that was your head hitting the wall since you're stumbling for the French press with your eyes closed.  The grinder makes short, aromatic work of your favorite, the dark roast.  Only the dark roast will do.  Especially on cold, dark mornings like this one.
4 agonizingly slow minutes later, the steaming, fragrant elixir is in your cup.  A sip or two into it, the alarm is forgotten, the head is not throbbing, and you swear you can hear those birds.  You silently promise yourself that the next time you travel south of the border; you are bringing an empty suitcase to fill with bags of this coffee! At the end of the cup, the world is just a bit brighter, maybe a bit warmer, and you decide sandals are perfectly appropriate business attire for the day.

Simply put Cafe Milagro is the finest coffee on the planet. I am only allowed to consume coffee in very limited amounts due to a medical condition. As a lifetime coffee lover, I must be therefore very selective in my choice. It is always Cafe Milagro. A strong, well-balanced cup of Java Heaven! Rich, flavorful with an unmistakable aroma. I actually have a cup for dessert and don’t compromise its enjoyment by consuming anything else along with it.
You have done a great job with this coffee, my sincere thanks,

 Tony M.

I saw your contest online and just had to enter, since I believe your coffee is one of the reasons I'm so happily married!  My husband and I spent seven wonderful days in Costa Rica for our honeymoon.  Everything about it was terrific, but the real find was Cafe Milagro.  Our hotel room included small packs of your coffee and after having it every day for a week, I knew I couldn't leave the country without getting some to take home.  We got our cab driver to take us to the Manuel Antonio location, and I bought enough coffee to stuff an entire carry-on bag.
We returned to Alabama, and of course, my supply eventually ran out.  Then, what did I find under the Christmas tree, but a big box full of your coffee!  You deliver!  It's been two years now, and my dear, sweet husband has kept me well-stocked with orders from Cafe Milagro.  We'll have been married two years on April 14th, and I'm looking forward to my anniversary gift, light-roast.  Thanks so much for all you do!

Here's the main reason I love Cafe' Milagro: I don't even like coffee usually but, I LOVE your coffee! I love it because it is smooth and not too bitter and tastes absolutely nothing like Starbucks. And, of course, it reminds me of my great trip to Manuel Antonio and all of the great people I met when I was there.
I discovered Cafe' Milagro about a year ago on my trip to Manuel Antonio. The cafe was literally across the street from our villa and we walked there nearly every morning to eat and enjoy the brew. When we left, I brought home a couple of bags of grounds and shared them with a few friends. Since then, I've ordered more from the site both for myself and as gifts. Everyone who tries it loves it! Every time I drink it, I can almost hear the monkeys in the distance. Pura vida!

I never thought I liked coffee until I came to Costa Rica.  I thought all coffee was bitter and tasted burnt. I tried many different cups of coffee in Costa Rica and the best was Cafe Milagro, it was so smooth and rich, I didn't even need sugar.  Now I am back in the states, but I still have my cup of milagro every morning at my house. Yum!

I wanted to respond to this e-mail.  The reason, besides the fact that your coffee is delicious, that we bought coffee from your company is because you are so active in the community.  Keep up the wonderful work!

Good Morning!   As I sit here in North Georgia, gazing at beautiful Lake Hartwell, I am sipping my very first cup of Cafe Milagro coffee.    It is the first thing I do in the morning   And of course, the last thing I do at night is grind my beans so that there is absolutely no delay (or noise!) in the morning as I plug in my pot and await the intoxicating aroma of fresh ground coffee....yummmmmm......might have to go brew my second pot already!
My daughter found your cafe several years ago while vacationing in Costa Rica and brought us back a bag of beans....they so spoiled us that we have been ordering directly from you ever since and sharing the coffee with friends over the years.   Thank you for your wonderful and friendly service - but most of all for your extraordinary coffee!

Debbie G. Thomasville, Georgia

My two daughters and I discovered Cafe Milagro for the first time during a family trip to Costa Rica in May 2008.  We were enjoying our breakfast as we sat at an outdoor cafe on the main street of Quepos.  The cafe happened to serve Milagro.  I recall commenting to the members of my family about how rich, yet smooth I found the taste of Milagro.
We had come to breakfast after spending the night at a local Quepos hotel.  From our hotel balcony, we had delighted in watching monkeys effortlessly swing through the trees.  The mother monkeys leaped from tree to tree, carrying their young on their backs like little passengers.
Our Costa Rica vacation was memorable for several "firsts," besides the pleasure we first took in tasting the wonderful flavor of Cafe Milagro.  For the first time, we thrilled to the adrenaline rush of zip lining, at 40 miles per hour, above the tree canopy.  We first experienced the challenge of rappelling 200 feet down a canyon wall.  And especially memorable, we first witnessed, at night, the glow of red hot molten lava flowing out of the Arenal volcano.
Our family vacation had been difficult to arrange because my two daughters are adults, both of whom live out of town and lead busy lives.  None of us had been to Costa Rica before, though we had certainly heard good reports about the country's many attractions.  We had only one week to spare for our vacation and hoped Costa Rica would prove to be a good choice as a vacation destination.  In fact, our Costa Rica vacation turned out to be a first class experience that we fondly recall, not least of all because we discovered the joys of a cup of Milagro "Joe."
Our family continues to order Milagro coffee on-line.  For us, each cup of Milagro not only pleases the palate, but evokes warm memories of precious time spent with one another in a lovely place, Costa Rica!

About ten years ago, while touring Costa Rica with my family, my wife and I stopped by your small shop in Quepos and immediately fell in love with your coffee.  That one chance experience (plus the 10 pounds we carried home!) would have been the end, but for the fact that you had recently set up a web site advertising shipping back to the US.  I recall the deep disappointment when I tried ordering more coffee and you wrote to tell me that you were still working out arrangements for shipping overseas that would not be prohibitively expensive, and we would just have to wait.  I think it was more than a year before you figured out a solution to the shipping, but carried by the memory of Quepos we kept checking back until you were ready to export.  Many years and many pounds of coffee later, we remain loyal fans.  Keep on shipping!

I have been working for an “eccentric” older man for about 5 years now.  (He would probably be upset if he knew I just typed that about him.)  He does not own or know how to use a computer.  Not long after I started, he brought in an empty coffee bag and asked me to find him some more of this coffee.  Luckily, you had a website.  I ordered 20 lbs of coffee and impressed him.  As a thank you, he gave me a bag to try.  The first time I ground the beans of the purple bag…I remember the heavenly scent lofting through my apartment.  Once I took my first sip, I was hooked.  Every 6 months or so, I find an empty coffee bag in my inbox and know it’s time to order more coffee.  This was my introduction to your coffee.
When I truly fell in love was in Quepos this past December.  Three of my friends and I planned a trip to Costa Rica.  When I found out we were going to Manuel Antonio, I put down my only request for the trip other than zip lining in Arenal, which was to go to Café Milagro.  I wanted to see this place for myself.  I wanted to smell the freshly roasted beans and taste fresh coffee.  My friends and I were not disappointed.  We went back the second day for a peanut butter milkshake.  Four months later and we’re still talking about Café Milagro.

I was in a bad mood.  Kids were racing motorcycles outside my hotel until 3:00 a.m.
My back hurt (bad mattress). My head hurt but not for the same reason... What I needed was a really good cup of coffee.  Or two or three cups and I didn't know where to go so I just started walking----It has been said Costa Rica has the worst roads and best coffee in the world but at that point I felt that statement should say - Really, really horrible roads and pretty good coffee.
I came to the corner and smelled something good - very good - so I turned right and shortly came to a small place, Café Milagro, and went inside.  Before long I had a steaming cup in my hand.  One sip and I found what I had been searching for; Good Lord in heaven the best coffee in the world.
My mood brightened to a sparkle.  I bought 8 lbs and strode out to meet the day.
I intended to share that coffee with friends but since it was the best in the world I thought maybe I would keep it to myself  - until I got home and read the label and found I could order online which is what I have been doing ever since.
Now my days go like this:  6:00 a.m. alarm goes off.  Get out of bed. Put on my robe go to the kitchen.  Grind beans. Start coffee.  Go outside get paper and by that time coffee is ready AND I have two cups and I'm ready to meet the day.

My favorite coffee to brew and drink at home is Café Milagro’s Dark Roast. I discovered Café Milagro last December during a trip to Costa Rica. The café was located a short walk away from my hotel in Manuel Antonio. I went there almost every day; I had their coffee with the traditional Tico breakfast in the morning, coffee and a sandwich for lunch, or an afternoon espresso shake – a delicious blend of espresso and chocolate chip ice cream.

We visited Quepos in October 2006 and the aroma of Cafe Milago coffee enticed us into the store. Bought some, then ordered more, and am ordering again! This coffee is so much better than any coffee anywhere in the world...

Thank you once again for making the best coffee beans found anywhere in the world! I'm looking forward to getting our next shipment of coffee! And I'm sure the chocolate macadamia nuts will compliment the coffee very nicely!

Best coffee and food in all of Costa Rica! We've been faithful buyers of the light roast coffee since August 2006 when we first visited Cafe Milagro during our 2 week stay in beautiful Quepos.

We continue to enjoy your wonderful coffee that we discovered at your roastery while staying in Manuel Antonio. We very much appreciate the new shipping cost and our last delivery was here in record time.

Thank you so much for providing organic coffee! I live in Boulder, Colorado, where I have many options for coffee, but haven't found anything that tastes as good as your dark roast organic! I just love it! Thank you!

Cafe Milagro... what can I say? Your coffee is incredible! I've sampled coffee from all over the world and I keep coming back to Cafe Milagro. Keep on rockin' and making that great java!

Hola!  We visited your cafe last year on our honeymoon and were so impressed with the flavor of your coffee!   We started every day while we were in Manuel Antonio with a few cups of the dark roast and even ended a few nights with the smooth, delicious flavor.  When we came home, not only were we sad to leave such a beautiful place, but we missed the excellent coffee too!  I am going to order some for our first anniversary to surprise my husband and bring back all the memories of our honeymoon, including Cafe Milagro and their fabulous staff.  Thanks for making the greatest coffee we've ever had!

If you don't love this coffee your taste buds are dead... or you have incredibly poor taste in coffee. If so, I recommend therapy. Lots and lots of therapy.

I was in Costa Rica in Feb '06 and tried many coffee and took Cafe Milagro home and loved it!! I'm very picky, order coffee on line and this is one of the best I've had!!

You may call it Cafe Milagro Light Roast we prefer to just call it "nector of the gods".

This coffee is the best I've ever had from any part of the world. It is truly amazing. I've been waiting for Cafe Milagro to start exporting their coffee. I am very happy that I now have the opportunity to purchase their coffee!

The most AMAZING coffee I - or anyone I know - has EVER tasted! I manage an investment firm and my clients (mostly retired folks who KNOW their coffee!) constantly rave about it.  In fact, I'd better get this order in NOW, as we're completely out of your fine coffee and the staff is about to riot!  Let's just say that everyone is EXTREMELY happy I visited your Quepos store while traveling!

I had assumed I would find great coffee in Costa Rica. That wasn't the case until I visited Cafe Milagro. I fell in love with the dark rich coffee and now am hooked. Hailing from Seattle (and yes, somewhat of a coffee snob) where we have coffee shops on most every corner, I can tell you none of them have a roast that can match the Cafe Milagro Dark Roast. I met both Adrienne and Lance, they are delightful people and if you make it to Costa Rica Don't miss dinner at El Patio. It was the best meal I had on my trip and was very reasonably priced.

Randy Reed

From the moment you open your first bag of Cafe Milagro beans, you'll be hooked. I'm often disappointed with my regular coffee which smells great while brewing, but never quite lives up to my expectations in taste. Not so with Cafe Milagro: the incredibly rich aroma of the beans is no let down when you finally taste it. Worth every penny and more. (And if you ever do make it to Quepos, the accompanying restaurant is quite superior as well).

Thomas Handley

Suffice to say, I LOVE coffee. I'm so into coffee and so picky that I've started roasting it myself because that way you can get the best of the small lots of beans from all over the world. When I was in Costa Rica, I read a review of Cafe Milagro from someone saying that Cafe Milagro may just have the best coffee in the world. So I went and tried it. And then I tried it again. And again...
I usually don't spend time writing online reviews, but I just have to give these guys their due. I have to say that their Dark Roast is the best coffee that I have ever tasted.

Great Job!

My sincere thanks.

Rob Goldstein

We visited Quepos in Oct. and ate at both Cafe Milagro locations several times.  We had breakfast at the cafe every day (although we had breakfast included at the hotel). The banana pancakes are the best.  We also ate in town several nights. The food was wonderful and the service was great.  Dinner was as good as you would get at any upscale restaurant and is very reasonably priced.  It was one of the highlights of our trip.  We also brought the wonderful fresh coffee home for family and friends.

Vicki Brignon

Overwhelmed by the CR coffee hype prior to arrival, and clearly 'underwhelmed' after many attempts.
Finally, an oasis in Quepos .... great seating patio, great food, esp. the muffins and ... drumroll ... coffee worthy of CR fame.  Brought home 5 lbs and coming back for more.  We live in Sonoma Cty, just North of San Francisco, a real tough critical coffee area and your coffee stands up well.Easily the best in CR and we were all over, even to Caribe side.

James Havness

I have been visiting Manuel Antonio three times a year, for the past four years. Cafe Milagro is my regular breakfast spot whenever I am there.  It is the best breakfast in town and the best coffee in the world.  I always bring an extra suitecase with me, so I have plenty of room to bring home enough coffee to last until my next visit. I suppose I could order it online. But, I'd much rather pick it up in person.

This IS the best coffee in Costa Rica…After several visits to CR I have tried them all...don't be fooled by the big companies...They cannot compare!...

We visited Costa Rica in September/October 2005 and fell in love with Cafe Milagro.  We had Cafe Milagro coffee every day during the 2 weeks we were there.  I don't like coffee at home in the U.S. I never drink it because it's too bitter. But, the coffee from Cafe Milagro is rich and smooth. We love it!  I will only drink coffee from Cafe Milagro! All our friends are now asking for more Cafe Milagro! Thank you for opening a new world of coffee for me!

We have made several trips to Costa Rica and have always returned with many bags of Cafe Milagro Dark Roast. For those years when we aren't able to visit Manuel Antonio we're delighted to be able to purchase Cafe Milagro on line. We believe it's the best coffee available. Just try it and you see how great coffee should taste.
